It is quicker and easier to learn to drive an automatic car because there is no clutch - the car changes gear for you.
If you need to pass your test in a hurry or are struggling to learn in a manual car, lessons in an automatic might be the answer. However, if you pass your test in an automatic car you will only be allowed to drive an automatic car until you pass the test in a manual.
