Single lessons:
Taking one or two driving lessons a week is the traditional way of learning to drive. The advantage is that there is time to practise in between sessions and steady progress is made. We follow the DfT's recommended syllabus and pictorial aids are used during lessons to assist understanding. Handouts are provided for home use. We offer free support to practice partners on request, to assist private learning. We provide a local door-to-door service - but it doesn't have to be the same door! We can pick you up from work and drop you off at home, for example. You can choose to have 1hr, 1.5hr or 2hr lessons. Longer lessons tend to be more productive as pupils settle into the driving better, routes can be further afield and faster progress improves motivation.

Block of ten hourly lessons:
As above, except lessons are at a reduced price. Full payment for the block booking is due in advance.

Semi-intensive course:
This is an ideal course for those who wish to take a fast track to test standard. The number of hours of training per week will be agreed according to your needs and availablility.

Automatic lessons:
It is quicker and easier to learn to drive an automatic car because there is no clutch - the car changes gear for you. If you need to pass your test in a hurry or are struggling to learn in a manual car, lessons in an automatic might be the answer. However, if you pass your test in an automatic car you will only be allowed to drive an automatic car. Automatics cost more to run than manual cars, which is why the lesson price is slightly higher.

Theory Test resouces:
You must pass a combined computerised theory test and video-based hazard perception test before you can apply to take the driving test. We provide our customers with all the training materials they need to prepare for the test completely free of charge. You will be loaned a DVD-Rom which features the entire theory test question bank, the Highway Code to view, search or print, and mock tests. It also features more than 300 hazard perception clips to practise and more than 60 practical driving tutorials. Other training materials are available in a range of formats. Your instructor will also be able to help you with any queries you may have concerning your home study and you are free to use our e-mail support service. For pupils experiencing difficulties with the theory test, one-to-one tuition is available.

Pass Plus course:
New drivers who go on to complete the Pass Plus course can get cheaper car insurance. Many leading insurers offer discounts equivalent to one year's no claims bonus. There is no test involved - you just have to successfully complete six driver training modules of at least one hour each which cover driving in town, out of town, in all weathers, at night, on dual carriageways and on motorways. When your instructor is happy you have reached the required level in each topic, you will receive a certificate from the DSA which you can use to receive your insurance discount. If you wish, you can opt for our special London-tour Pass Plus course. With this, three of the modules are covered during a tour of central London when you will take in sights such as Marble Arch, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, Downing Street, Big Ben and Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Horse Guards Parade, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and much more.

* Currently, Bucks County Council is offering to pay £75 towards the Pass Plus course fee for pupils who live in Buckinghamshire, provided they passed their driving test within the previous 12 months. For more details, call the office or ask your instructor.

Fix-it sessions:
Individual lessons on common driving problems. They include: I Make My Kids Car Sick, Help - I Hate Roundabouts, I Can't Park The Damn Car, Motorways Make My Blood Run Cold, and Oldie Alert - Driving Overhaul Required. For more information, click here.

Refresher driving lessons:
If you have had a break from driving or just wish update your skills and improve your confidence on the road, we can help. During an initial session we can assess your driving and establish which areas need attention and then structure a course to suit your needs. Often customers request help with roundabouts, motorways, town centre driving, lane changing, parking and manoeuvering.

Advanced driving lessons:
Learn techniques which will allow you to make good progress without breaking the speed limit as well as help you to drive more smoothly, efficiently and safely. Your driving will be more cost effective, your passengers will certainly notice the difference and if you pass an advanced driving test, you can get cheaper car insurance.

Trailer/caravan lessons:
Learn how to manoeuvre your trailer, caravan or horse box with confidence. We can prepare you for the B+E trailer test or simply tailor your training to meet your personal requirements. All drivers who passed a car driving test before 1 January 1997 are already entitled to drive a vehicle and trailer combination of up to 8.25 tonnes. If you passed after this date, you can legally drive a combination of up to 4.25 tonnes but only if the maximum authorised weight (laden weight) of the trailer is up to 750kgs. If the trailer weighs more than 750kgs when laden, the combined weight must not exceed 3.5 tonnes and the trailer's MAM must be less than the unladen weight of the vehicle. To drive heavier combinations, you must pass a further B+E test where you will be assessed on your ability to drive with, reverse, hitch and unhitch a trailer. Trailer lessons with us take place using your own car and trailer/caravan/horsebox. Our trainer is a qualified HGV driver as well as being a driving instructor.

Taxi test lessons:
We can prepare you for the DSA taxi driving test which must be passed before you can be issued with a taxi licence by the district council. To prepare a candidate for the test, we would normally book a two-hour session in order to assess their driving and explain the requirements of the test. If further lessons are necessary, we can then tailor a course to correct any weaknesses.
